I have a old shed on my allotment that was burnt down.

There is not a lot of it left, so I decided to break it into bits and take it to the tip.

But the roofing felt looks a bit odd. It has burned but parts of the "material"
look white and have expanded into this cotton wool like looking stuff. Not strands but fluffy.

There was something about it I did not like. Could it be asbestos

could well be glass fibre  I know it`s used in modern felts ( don`t recall what was used previously) If it was asbestos it wouldn`t have altered with heat - whereas glass would . maybe google roofing felt
