Has anyone got a contact for replacing a lost fiat hymer motorhome key? all of the usual sources, autolock etc say that only fiat can do this job of recoding. I can't believe that the codes are not available somewhere and wondered if anyone on this forum might know of anyone who performs this service. I,ve tried most of the major advertised websites.

There is a way around this, but it doesn't suit everyone.....
By a new set of locks, including an ignition switch lock from a dealer, then use the decoder coil from the old system wrapped around the new lock.
This allows you to start the vehicle, but its not immobilised.
You then change the door locks so you still use one key.

Thanks, have tried every avenue but it seems that Fiat have a coding system that is complex and non of the localjavascript:emoticon('') or national "Key rescue" firms offer a coding service. Tried here as a last resort, guess Fiat will have another reluctant customer...£250!!!

Believe it or not, that's actually quite reasonable these days, £350 being the more usual figure!
When the vehicle was new, it would have come with a master key - which becomes priceless in this sort of situation......sadly these keys disappear as the vehicle is sold on.
