Looking for a good way of controlling lighting (several different lights) on a large stairwell with total dimmer facility in possibly more than two places.

I'm sure there are more advanced ways of doing it than just two-way dimmers.

I'm thinking of perhaps dimmer packs controlled by easy-to-use and attractive controls.

Any suggestions?

Remember that dimly lit stair ways can be a hazard to people using the stairs. The ability to switch on adequate lighting to enable safe use of the stairs should be available at each landing.

Exactly Bernard ... that's why I wouldn't approve of the basic two dimmers system, where switching on one switch is dependent on the setting of the other.

The Futronix is interesting, but looking at the website, I think they're more designed for the home-cinema setup. The small buttons seem a bit fiddly for dashing up the stairs. Looking for something that's as simple as an ordinary on/off switch, but with the added feature of dimming when the occasion arrives, yet someone on another level can alter the setting accordingly.

Sure there's got to be something out there ...

Yes, lightwave RF is a reasonably price system for the domestic market.
