Morning All,
Any oil boys have the next step advice for me. My warmflow utility 70 has been working fine for a year and yesterday started to emit smoke from flue.
Have cleaned everything up and changed the nozzle and reset electrodes to recommended but still smoking.
Would appreciate comments

Either the burner is being denied it's combustion air, the boiler internals / flue is all sooted up or the pump pressure is too low.
For the latter, it's a pressure gauge / smoke test followed by a flue gas analysis, I'm afraid.
John :)

Thanks John
Have checked the flue and the fan appears and sounds to be working fine so looks like I will need to get an oil boffin out
Thanks
Rich

Yes, but combustion parameters need to be checked and set up using a combustion analyser.

You should have got a qualified oil engineer out in the first place. DIY oil work is whey bit as dangerous as DIY gas work. Carbon monoxide kills not matter what boiler it is from.
