Hi,

Some advice please.

Our Biasi 24s is on it's last legs and I'd really like to get it replaced this summer. Do you have any toughts on a direct replacement for this model?

Ideally I'd like something that is guaranteed for a good few years and not too expensive.

Thanks inadvance for your help.

Your Biasi 24S is a perfectly viable boiler and all the spares are available at a reasonable price. My recommendation is to repair it! If you were in out service area that would probably cost less than £200.

If you must replace it then the lastest Biasi M110 is a good boiler and not much different in size. It has a two year guarantee.

What you must understand though is that its the standard of installation which determines the reliability of the system more than the boiler. Your current boiler is probably causing problems because it was installed on a dirty system without power flushing.

Unless the system is power flushed you will get exactly the same problems with a new one if the system is not perfectly clean.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The bolier was already fitted when we moved in 18 months ago. We've also had the system flushed. Recently 4 or so parts have been changed (membrane, service kit, flow swtiches just to name a few) & still we're getting problems!

We'll get the system flushed again before the new install.

Thanks

PS,

Do you recommend anyone to repair the bolier if we do decide to keep it? Or a company that can clean the system if we go for a new one?

In Gravesend, Kent (Ten mins from Daftford tunnel).

Thanks for your help

If the system was dirty then the DHW and the system flow switch glands will all leak and that can get water into the microswitches. All cheap minor parts.

The diaphragm is a service item that needs chamging every 4-6 years in normal use. Again a minor part.

The key to reliable boiler operation is clean system water!

all boilers break down espically if system water is poor or has even been poor.
they start to corrode/detorate from day one of installation.
stick with your biasi for 3-4 years more.get it on a contract and spend the money you would have spent on a new boiler on a holiday.
who flushed your system.all information helps us decide what is best for you.
