Have recently been advised to replace shower pump due to it springing a leak...have also been told that i need to fit a separate mixer valve [additional £90 parts and labour] or warranty on new salamander pump will be invalid....does this sound right?

Had a squint at the salamander site, and found something called a TMV which is designed to protect pumps where the DHWS temperature is uncontrolled.....I presume this is what he means.....cant see anything regarding its omission invalidating the warranty, but it's probably buried in the small print.

Thanks for the pointer.
