gas hob

I've moved into a house which has a 15mm gas copper pipe with an isolating valve. The hob I've purchased has a half inch entry connector. How do you connect the two of them up. The old cooker type had a quick release type hose but i can't see buying one of them helping me out.

I don't think gas pipework is a good project for your first attempt at plumbing with copper. Better get a Registered Gas Installer to do it. They will also know the requirements for clearances above and around the hob.
