I cannot understand when replacing my isolator valve that the actual hole the water goes through is as big as my japseye.
I live in an area where we are on a shared supply and I would like like to get a fullbore stoptap. Will this eliminate some of the noise that the 15mm pipe that carries the mains water creates when under full flow eg shower.
The inlet into the house is lead and looks like an old imperial fixing as the the 15mm looks like its been welded to fix onto the old inlet pipe.
Ideally I'd like to take advantage of the imperial fixing and run 22mm up to the combi boiler. Would this stop noise of the pressure on the small bore of the 15mm hole (about 7mm in reality)?
