1 drainage pipe serving 2 baths

Is it possible to have one pipe going to the (single) discharge stack and two baths connected to it, on of them as a branch?
If so, will a 40mm pipe be enough?

Yes, and 40mm ok if they're not very long and you have proper falls on the pipes.
If the plugholes are adjacent and the stack remote, obviously one might send water up the other.
