I'm hoping to get a fire basket fitting to replace my old gas fire. I am just wondering if you can get fire baskets that run on mains gas?

Thanks

Cheers Kev. Sorry if that question sounded so daft, but I'm buying my first house so I'm all new to this.

How well is the gas piping hidden with gas fire baskets? Does that depend on the CORGI engineer who fits it?

Could the piping be hidden away from site though, so that it looked like a real fire? I am looking at getting the below fire:

Just don't want pipes on view as want it to look rear. Could a gas fitter run the pipes straight down through to the floor and then underneath the floorboards so that it was unseen?

I drilled a hole through the wall for mine, so you cannot see my pipe. So it depends on the chimney breast, best to discuss what you would like with your fitter.
