Is it a very difficult job to fit new wheels to the sliding door?-- I got a used door from a friend when they had a conservatory built and it has always been heavy to roll open and shut.--I assumed that the fitter would check them but he didn't.
Any advice on fixing it would be very welcome. :D

They maybe nothing wrong with the wheels, they are adjustable with a philips screwdriver on each end, should be a screw cover which need to be prise off. The most common problem is when the door is rubbing on the runners, If I remember righty, a small crowbar to take the weight of the wheels then anti-clockwise to lower the door and clockwise for up.

Thanks masona--I wondered if they may be a bit stiff or dirty so i'll treat them to a bit of WD to see if it helps.
They seem to be sitting on the runners ok,so I will have a scrabble about and look at the adjustment--is there any specific setting or is it a suck it and see job? :)

The bottom of the door should not be touching on any part of the runners, only the wheels, Also try and clean the runners with steel wool with WD40, failing that then the wheels could be knackered
