Light bought from John Lewis about 2 years ago. it runs 4 x 35w 12v spotlights. In this picture I've opeded up the light and you can see the transformer (the big round thing).
Now I'm trying to put it on a dimmer. I've tried 2 different dimmers, one manual and one electronic/remote operable, and with each one the whole transformer/light unit (seen in the photo) buzzes, not just a bit, but so loudly it does your head in.
Help! Is this a dimmable type transformer? It has no labels but is new and from a quality place so i would hope is.
This buzzing sounds like probably a resonance, is there any way you can damp it out?
