Hi, an unusual question I know but here goes. Does anyone have any bad experiences with heavy electric wheelchairs cracking ceramic kitchen floor tiles :?: My son is in an electric wheelchair and I'm just about to choose tiles. Do you get thicker tiles or stronger ones. Any info much appreciated

i would have thought the way they are fixed also counts, they should be on a firm bed, and 100% supported

Agreed with Breezer, doesn't matter how thick or thin the floor tiles are as long they're are bedded down properly.

Shouldn't be a problem if the wheelchair have a pump-up tyre, if it a solid wheel type then I would go for a thicker tiles.
