There is water in our basement for the second time in 2 weeks! This time, I am sure that it is coming from the washing machine upstairs because the top of a box was wet and there were suds in the water on the floor. What could be causing this? I cannot find the source of the leak in the pipes. Coincidentally, we just had a hot water heater installed last week. Immediately after the hot water heater was installed, we had to have the kitchen faucet replaced because apparently some "scale" or something came up through the pipes when the water was turned back on and jammed up the shut-off and water was only coming out in a trickle. At least that is what the plumber told us. The hot water heater and faucet were professionally installed. What is going on here? Any replies would be greatly appreciated!!
