Cistern - push button Toilet
Reply with quote Thanks

I have a leak coming out the back of the cistern every time it's flushed. It's a push button toilet. I did have a guy come out and all he did was tighten the wingnuts. will this actually fix it as I have still to get floor and ceiling below repaired and i am wary that the prob may reappear.

Sprinkle some talcum powder on the floor and keep flushing. Any leak will become apparent. icon_sad.gif

If the leak was coming from the cistern, then yes! icon_wink.gif

you will need to fit a new doughnut washer between the pan and tank
they are available at most builders merchants - you will need to remove the cistern to carry out this work
