tank/Summerhouse

I have recently constructed a tank/summerhouse. mainly i intend to have a couple of fishtanks wiv all the usual equipment, pumps, heaters,filters etc it will also double up as a summerhouse. my question being what is the best way to get electricity to the building and setup enough power and lighting for my needs

If its running circuits to a detached building then its notifiable work. See Part P in the WIKI. You can DIY it but, unless you are very familiar with how to do it, I suggest you use a competent, registered sparky to do it for you.

Is "wiv" in the English language? I am going to reply in the Queens English.

Anyhow this is the vaguest question ever.

We/you need to know all of the following to determine the design of this installation:

1. Design current / what appliances will you be using
2. Distance from the mains supply in cable length terms
3. The earthing system in use at the house (a picture of the main fuse and meter?)
4. The RCD arrangements at the house
5. Does the summerhouse have any extraneous conductive parts?
6. The age of the fusebox at the house (a picture would help immensely)
