Zannussi 1425 pauses mid cycle

My FJS 1425 washing m/c stops part way through the wash and flashes the pause light. The display also changes to a different time, instead of giving an error code. It can be sometimes be restarted by pushing various combinations of buttons.
The times seem random and sometimes the m/c completes a wash without any trouble.
Any help would be appreciated

My WJS1665W washer dryer does the same thing about 5 minutes into a wash.

If you skip ahead to rinse it can empty and spin though.

Worth getting it looked at or a lost cause?

Didn't get any feedback, sorry.
I gave up and sold the machine on Ebay for 0.99p
I advertised it for spares or repair.
