Mixer Tap ( No water coming thru )

Hello Everyone

Im hoping this is the right place to post all my newbie question regarding our Renovation. The better half is a bit keen on ebay and subsequently ordered a new sink and mixer tap. I plumbed the tap in (unfortunately no info on make or model), using new elbow connections and new valves with olives. Cold water comes through fine although be it not much pressure but the Hot only comes through as a trickle. Could someone maybe point me in some sort of helpful direction so i can rectify the problem avoiding a plumber

Get a new tap! the one you have is not suitable!! (is it the kitchen sink : is it mains cold?)

Or maybe you have an airlock in the hot. I take it you fitted ballofix maint valves so that you could isolate the tap. Remove the tap and open the ball valve - does hot water come out?

Yeah, fitted ball valves to both pipes and when tap is disconnected and the valves are opened hot and cold both comes out a quite a good pressure

Change the tap then
