problem with loud clunking noise.
when boiler is in ch mode and you open a hot tap, a loud clunking noise comes from boiler. when ch off and you open hot tap, clunking noise doesnt happen.
also when this happens, pressure gauge goes mental.
blockage? diverter valve?
any input would be appreciated

Have Ideal given you any clues as to why this happens Dave?

all the ones i change i have checked the water and it is as clean as a whistle.

They say that this is a systemic fault (like the leaky primary flue then icon_wink.gif )

All I get from Ideal is 'you can't have a chargeable call out' or 'spiders webs' icon_rolleyes.gif icon_eek.gif icon_lol.gif
