vaillant ecotech 637 fault

above boiler works fine with the cover off, but when i put the cover back on, it goes back to S-3, won't light and brings up F29.

remove the cover and it works fine.

its less than 2 years old so vaillant will hopefully come out to look at it for the guy.

any thoughts??

F29 is a faulty earth, so it could be trapping/moving a lead.

Where did you get that from sooey?

F29 is flame gone out due to lack of gas, flue problems and boiler can't re-ignite, hence sitting at S3, ignition sequence;

I would check flue for blockages and the air inlet tube is ok and fitted correctly at the fan.

The 837 and 637 often won't ignite if this is not pushed on properly.

Has it had the new graphite seal fitted?
