 |
|
Hi All,
I live in an old Victorian house and a couple of the mortise locks need replacing, I have looked on websites including ebay but can't seem to find anything like the one I already have.
As I said I have hunted high and low so any advice would be great
here is the lock and its dimensions
thanks in advance

it is called a horizontal sash-lock
there are still some made. most are poor quality.
AFAIK Union still make them, as a 3-lever, and i think Imperial do, or did.
Chubb make an extremely expensive one suitable for a front door.
you may need to enlarge the mortice a little to make a new one fit.
you should find an old one at an architectural salvage dealer or someone who deals in stuff from demolitions. |

the union 2077 range is a close fit, some adjustment of handle/keyhole is almost inevitable.an alternative is to remove the ones you have, take them to a locksmith who can make keys and replace worn springs if thats of any use |

I think there is a mistake in your measurements
110 handle backset
215 case depth
don't look in proportion. |
