underfloor heating and latex screed

Hi, i'm thinking of fitting electric under floor heating in my bathroom. I wanted to take the floor boards up and replace with 18mm plywood, prime and put the underfloor heating on top of the plywood.

Can I put a thin latex screed on top of this for some Karndean or does have to be a thicker screed?

To my knowledge, a lot of under floor heating mats are for tiles only.

It does look good stuff. I've already got my mat, the wife just likes the karndean. I'll end up tiling as I first intended. I've sent an e-mail to karndean, i'll post there answer here
