Real wood flooring pattern???

Hi guys

just bought some real wood floor to do my loung and dining room and after a little advice on laying.

I'm not after a pattern as such but am i best just to lay randomly or should i try to stick to a pattern? Any advise from an expert would be great and any further tips would be greatly appreciated

Install floorboards staggered and avoid a pattern. Patterns will make your floor look odd and if your boards are rather short also unstable. Joints most be at least 30 cm apart from joints in the neighbouring row
