Hi
I've some PVC cladding to be installed over a long span, around 6 metres length x 3 metres. The original ceiling is lathe and plaster (loft above) which slopes/falls away about 2 metres in on the width. I plan to batten with 3x2 on every joist, so my questions.

What size/type screws is good for this? I'm thinking 6mmx100mm wood screws.

Where the ceiling slopes, should I just butt them where they join or insert a piece of wood for the length of the ceiling? I'm assuming the PVC cladding won't have any problem should it have to bend.

Should the PVC edging be installed first and should it be fixed up against the wall and ceiling?

Thanks.
