Cavity wall materials

Doing a garage conversion ,door has been removed and wall put up half way then a window fitted ..before I fit the window ledge I want to put some insulation in there,cant use kingspan as the ties are in place but looking for some sort of fibre or other type with a good value that I can purchase myself and put in there but looked online and cant find any... I dont want to call a firm in for such a small job 8ft x4ft, any help would be appreciated

it begs the question, why did you not use proprietary cavity batts (ie. dritherm) as you built up the final skin?
 
fibreglass batts (rectangular pieces)

commonly available in 50mm and 75mm thicknesses. Builders merchant or the dirty end of a DIY shed. Sold packed in bales of 5-10 pieces

you can slit them if they won't fit between the ties. Instructions are on the wrappng

it is heavier and more "solid" than loft insulation

I bet you wish you'd thought of it earlier
 
Noseall, you are right but it was done by a friend of a friend while I was working away, JohnD yeah i wish I thought of it earlier....but hindsight is a great thing...any how I am stuck with it and trying to resolve it...thanks all the same
