Hi

I am in the process of getting my garden done and was just wondering if there is such a thing as having concrete with with coloured gravel ebedded down into it a bit like pebbledashing on walls - is there such a thing or is there something similar. I did think about have pebbles/cobbles bedded into concrete but realise that might be too tiring for old legs. hopefully someone can confirm this can be done or not as the case may be. Thanks.

yes

it's called "bonded gravel" and is basically the stones mixed with glue. You can lay it on a concrete base. It looks good. You need to lay it on a fall for water to run off as it is not so easy to sweep as concrete.

there are specialist installers. Look at samples of their work, preferably several years old as well as a new one, before agreeing an order.

oh thanks JohnD for replying so swiftly - i was trying all searches but not really coming up with anything so will now do more research before getting a few people out to discuss. glad im not as mad as i thought!

i kid you not, its used in kids play areas, comes in all sorts of colours and patterns, bit like bonded gravel as John D says but it uses rubber
