I am going to be starting my single storey kitchen extension in the next month and have a question regarding the roof.

The Architects drawings show the pitch but does not show any facia board or eaves. It is a low pitch warm roof so fully open. I have tried to contact the architect to ask but i cant seem to get hold of him. Is it possible that the roof will have no eaves or facia board and the Guttering will just screw straight onto the wall. I need to know this as i have to work out what distance i need to leave on the party wall to ensure the extension does not overhang the neighbours graden. Thanks

You can do the eaves detail however you like, but normally you would match the existing eaves.

If you have a warm roof and narrow or no soffit, then the fascia will be high up above the window and door heads and/or deep too, and will look unnatural

You can have a narrower soffit to the boundary. All you do is move the hip back off the corner of the walls
