Brambles, Bindweed and Japanese Knotweed - Oh My!

From The Guardian (G2 Section) this morning ...

"Japanese knotweed is enough to make most gardeners weep, but sauteeing, steaming or simmering the young shoots is one sort of revenge. They have a slightly tart taste that is like either asparagus or rhubarb, depending on whom you speak to. Choose young shoots 15-20cm (6in-8in) long, and discard any leaves, as these are too tough."
