Hello. I've got the same problem as several other people. Before I try swapping the wires about, my understanding is that the mains cable has to go to the supply part of the switch and the shower cable has to go to the load part. Is it likely that I've simply got the wires mixed up? If so, is it safe to take a chance and swap them over? Any advice would be much appreciated. thanks

Thank you Breezer. Goodness knows how I got the 2 cables the wrong way round. I appreciate your help. Regards, Paul

As its a new circuit, have you informed building control?

(Come on everybody, stop groaning. Someone had to bring it up)

That was the point of my question
Is this a new switch and/or circuit

As its a new circuit, do we assume that the installation complies with the relavent wiring regulations? How did you test it?
I'm worries about your ability to do this work safely if you cant even get a switch round the right way.

I hope its only you using the shower..
