Head gasket ZX 1.9 TD ?

Hi i suspect my headgasket has gone due to the fact im getting air in my cooling system creating excessive pressure build up, holed the radiator few weeks back thought had stopped the engine before it got hot, but think the gasket has gone, ?

my question is any tips for changing?? and what sort of time scale assuming i have correct seals and gaskets??

A couple of days at the very least to ensure everything is checked and correctly replaced, if you are not familiar with cylinder heads I would suggest you obtain a workshop manual to give you guidance and check the head for warpage with a known straight edge or have it skimmed as a matter of course.

change the expansion tank cap before you start stripping things. This should control the pressure of the system, so if its overpressurising the cap could be shagged....... and much cheaper than whipping off the head
