Can someone help?
Ive done a search on this and come up with some good info but its a bit old and was wondering if there are any new regs preventing me from unplugging the old gas oven(bayonet type). Replacement oven is electric.
I'll be more than happy to comply, dont want to hurt ourselves for the sake of a few quid.
Thanks

:)

mags - you're allowed to unplug it, a quick twist and it's off. The socket is designed to shut off the gas when the hose is removed, however check further down the pipe for a gas cock and if one is fitted turn it off. Make sure it only controls the flow to the old cooker and there isn't a tee off to another gas appliance, if there is leave it on.
