I've got a problem with condesation in my living room and need to increase ventilation. I plan to install a couple of air bricks to increase ventilation through to the outside.
My question is, am I better off placing these quite high up so that the warm air can flow through? Or should they still work effectively placed lower down which is more ideal as they will be out of site. I am also concerned about the draft that could be caused. A plumber has said I could place them behind my radiators (that have temporarily been removed so ideal time) but wouldn't this restrict the air flow making them less useful?
I have also thought about placing them in the sides of the chimney breast as the chimney will have an electric fire on it (rather than gas). Surely this will allow for the best ventilation as air can flow up the chimney? Does this make sense?
Any advice at all would be greatfully received.[/quote]
