Ive got an old Corsa and about 3 years ago I had to have a new battery fitted which resulted in my stereo not working as it made it "lock". I was just wondering if this is a job that I could do myself as I dont think its really worth taking it anywhere to be unlocked as stereo is mega basic and prob only worth bout 50p.

Ive raked through the paperwork that I got with the car. I found a radio pass card with code no. 5430 printed on it. Is this what you mean?

I think it's a pretty good bet that that'll be the number you need.

If you do not have them search online for the make & "enter code instructions" and they should appear telling you what to do to enter that code.

Hi, when you switch the radio on and it asks for the code, you use the station channel selection buttons in turn to enter the code (Buttons 1 - 4) then enter it by pressing button 5. If you cannot enter these numbers because the wrong numbers have been entered too many time you will have to get the radio reset, some people say you can put the radio in the freezer for a period of time and this will reset it but a guy told me a while ago a way of doing it which worked for me, this was switch the ignition on and leave the car for around half an hour or so, this reset the radio on my Ford Escort. Once reset you can then enter the code and off you go... Hope this helps..Al
