Bosch Dishwasher using loads of rinse aid

We have a Bosch S10R51B dishwasher which is now 8 years old and has started using far more rinse aid than has been the case previously. We now need to refill the rinse aid every wash, but it used to be maybe twice weekly at most.

Has anyone else had the same problem and found a remedy?

remove twist cap on dispenser and turn it down to 1
