Hi, wondered if someone could offer some guidance on this please?
I am going to paint our kitchen units, one unit has a glass door which consists of a single sheet of glass held in place by what looks silicone mastic. The glass area is about 50cm x 80cm and in front of the glass wooden battens have been formed to give the impression of 12 small panes. I want to remove the glass so that I can paint the back of the wooden battens and then replace the glass.
I understand that there is a risk of breaking the glass and it therefore may have to be replaced, but more importantly I am concerned about using the correct type of mastic to ensure that the glass is secured properly. Could anyone advise please?
