I have a small walled yard of c.3.2m x 2.8m that is currently paved with heavy duty slabs but is at an angle.
I am looking at installing a timber frame to the area using 4" joists and then laying paving slabs on the frame using a paving support system that is used on flat roofs to allow drainage.
The advantage of this is that it is safer (not as slippery as decking) and that the slabs can also be easily lifted to allow access to a small drain cover.
My question is that has anyone got any experience of using slab supports as they aren't cheap and I would like to know if you think they will be appropriate for use on a substantial timber frame.
Thanks.
