Asked this on the plumbing forum and, quite rightly, someone suggested the electrical forum instead. Assistance appreciated.

I need to move a radiator to a different wall in the livingroom at the weekend and need to alter the pipes. The new route for the pipe (in the cellar) takes it toward the alarm box. What's the minimum distance the pipework needs to be from the box? For clarification the pipe would be clipped to the ceiling, and the box is on the side wall.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is any problem at all running water pipes near to alarm boxes other than having water near electricity which would be a pluming standard and earth bonding issue..
If it were a wirefree system and you were running electric cables then I would recommend 2 metres.

Maybe someone else will be along to offer more help. Certainly not something I have had to watch for.
Radiators/stairs/shelves near sensors/ electric motors/ heat from radiators/direct sunlight/heat from refridgerator compressors yes but water pipes.. never heard of a prob.
