How do you get ink out of carpet that has been there for a while?

"Amodex" Just look up Amodex and Pen City will be one of the first links. This is the only thing that took ink out of my carpet. It is fab.

Hair spray works well to disolve ball pen ink. Spray on the ink and blot with a clean rag. Might have to do this several times. It really works. If it's not ball pen ink this might not work, you didn't specify what kind of ink it was.
