get some G10 cutting polish and whack that on. Decent motor factors / paint suppliers will do it.
Read the instructions (not a 'professional only' job, but need to do what it says or it'll look worse!) and T-cut with the colour restore (not the orignal t-cut which seems to be useless nowadays) afterwards.
Hard work by hand, and will take you a good day to do it, but it'll look like new when you're done
