hi, just had some plasterers in. they had to back to the brickwork in some areas. A week or two later ive noticed a patch (30cm square) of fine white fur / mould on one such area.

is there an easy way to fix this? will it just go away as the wall continues to dry? do i get the plasterers back to address the problem?

any help much appreciated!

This is known as efflorescence which are white salt deposits that are brought to the surface by moisture. The appearance of the deposits would suggest that the plaster is not dry yet. The deposits can be dry brushed away with a nylon or bristle brush and the surface checked periodically until they stop. Then a primer used on the wall
