protherm boiler

have got a protherm boiler and having problems with electrics boiler does not light when you turn on hot water tap. bu tleave tap running switch of and then back on and it fires and will run as long as tap is running. same with heatign but as soon as it hits temp and shuts of will not relight unless again you switch it off. any ideas?

Its not an obvious fault as you have described it.

Many faults are immediately obvious when you are standing in front of the boiler watching it operate.

You may end up having to get a professional to look at it. Few will be very enthusiastic when you tell them which boiler you have. They are repairable but most will just try to sell you a new boiler.

There are several Protherm boilers and if you put the model of yours then that would help us to know which on you are talking about.

They are considered budget boilers often installed by builders!

what model is it? does it use a big E or a little e ?
