distance between master telephone socket and a 2gang socket

1.Is there a safe distance i have to keep the master telephone socket away froma a 2 gang electrical socket to avoid any intereference.?

2. Do i have to plug in adsl microfilters at evry telphhone socket point or just where a telephone socket is plugged into?

50mm / 2" was the standard I've always worked to. Thta's based on air gap between the two.

In a trunking situation as long as there is a barrier comms, TV and Sat cable can coexist with power cables.

So in the box situation there would be no issue to the sockets being adjacent, if your cutting or chopping out for b/boxes you'd normally have a space between the two boxes of 35-50mm. Although that's down to taste and / or the wall type.
 
The best ADSL speed is usually achieved by using a single filter to replace the NTE front plate, and all extension wiring run from that filter. With that arrangement there's no need for filters at every phone. Connect your ADSL modem / router into the RJ11 socket of the filter.

Unterminated cable ends (eg sockets without filters and phones plugged in) can cause unwanted signal reflections in the cabling, reducing broadband speeds.

That makes sense untill you have the router on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd extension socket away from the master, you then need a filter to convert the LJU socket to RJ + LJU. Then you'd be double filtering and wouldn't that drop the signal quality ?

You can't double filter. Using multiple filters affects nothing, if it's already filtered, well, how do you expect to get the ADSL signal at the extension?

Or you can do as a workmate of mine (an engineer no less!) and have no filters, then go through three new phones before thinking to ask why there might be a lot of crackling on the line :LOL:

And a total lack of broadband, I would imagine!
 
If the DSL modem is to be connected somewhere other than at the NTE, you can still use a single filter at that point at run a dedicated pair to a DSL jack elsewhere.

For example, if you have the following physical arrangement of cabling -

Line -> NTE -> Extn. 1 -> Extn. 2

- and the extn. 1 jack is where you want the modem to be located, you can run 3-pair cable from the NTE to that extension, and use a double jack at that point (one BT431A for voice plus one RJ11 for ADSL). Use the blue/white and orange/white pairs in the cable as usual to connect from the filtered terminals (2,3,4,5) to extn. 1 voice jack and on to extn. 2. Use the green/white pair to connect from the unfiltered terminals to the ADSL extn. 1.
