If he had a wife and kids, I am sure I can speak for most, if not all and offer our condolences.

He was a great character of this forum (in my very humble opinion).........
Brings home the fact any one of us could be next.....

May he rest in peace.............

Pilot light may have gone, but not the memories. Did'nt know him long but loved the sense of humour.

Very sorry to hear this sad news.
RIP WDIK.

Very sad. Didn't know the lad but he couldn't have been very old. He was ill (I'm sure he's mentioned that on here a few times), but it must still have been a shock for his family. Does anyone know what was wrong with him?

Agile has posted WDIK (simon's), profile picture in the Combustion Chamber and I thought I'd do the same. If anyone thinks that that's not appropriate please say so and I'll remove the link.

I don't know when this was taken but he looks so well in the picture. Rest in peace big fella.

I am very sorry to hear the news. We exchanged a few posts in the past but had not spoken for a while.

I hope his family is reading this and will accept our deepest condolences.

Nice guy Simon was. :(

Very sad news indeed. RIP Simon - peace at last my friend, peace at last.

Deepest condolences to his family and friends.

RIP Simon,
only spoke to him a few times but he seemed a straight talker.
He mentioned recently about his illness which entailed him having had an illieostomy(sp) resulting in him having a J pouch. I'd never heard of it so he posted a link.
By what I read he was a brave fella.

Condolences to his family.

Saddened to hear of the loss of WKID from our forums.

Condolences to his family and friends...

So, so sad: another gone too soon.

From personal experience, the advice I can offer to folk here is to take every opportunity life gives you, don't do anything stupid and live life to the full. Work hard, but don't forget to play too.

And most important: Every day, tell your family you love them.

I have said my bit in the CC with regards to Simon.

To follow what SS said I thought I'd post this.
Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?

You better slow down
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.

Ever told your child,
We’ll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say “hi”

You better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift…
Thrown away.

Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song’s over...

I'm told it was written by a young girl with cancer i'm not sure if it's true no matter.
we left it at Paddy's Grave today, it helps.
