Firefox lost spell check

On forums like this there was always a spell check. However on desktop it has stopped working although still works on laptop. When I tried to select English UK I got a failed script. Any ideas how to get it running again?

After having so much hassle I would have given up except that my laptop still had working spell check so I tried just one more time and right clicked and added English UK yet again and this time it has worked.

Not a clue what I have done different. But happy again.
