hi i have a potterton puma 100e last couple of months it started banging and lock out would come on, press reset ok for a bit gradually got worse over the weeks, i have hot water (very hot water)CH problam pressure irratically jumps about while banging and grinding noise comes from top (might be boiling water) last couple of days CH working while switched off ne ideas

check the hot water flow switch
they stick on common fault

big round brass thing next to the gas valve
you can see it when you undo the control panel there is a microswitch on the top

hi cheers a bit of wd40 on the switch works great for now ill look out for a new to fit ..

fantastic! worked on mine too! THANK YOU! That was after I checked all the tracks on the PCB and the relays. Will teach me to search this site correctly in the future.

How long did your WD40 fix work for? Just seeing how long I can leave it until I buy/fit a new HW flow switch!
