I have this model washing machine. Recently I turned it on and suddenly an array of lights started flashing. The machine will no respond to any button and has to be turned off at the mains, when turned on the lights then return to the same flashing routine.

The lights that flash are the top 4 lights on the left flash, with the Final Spin and the On/Off...is there something I need to fix or is the machine a little more terminal than that? I have to unplug it to stop them flashing and when plugged in again it constantly flashes again.

I have taken out the filter from the front and cleared it of debris (a small collection of coins)! However, the problem still persists.

Advice most welcome, thanks.

Put the wrong model number down.

Phoned Indesit today (who are now Hotpoint) and they said for the flashing lights I have the problem is an F15 error code. However, the error code points to a heating element problem with the dryer; however the machine I have is a washer only and not a washer/dryer machine!!

Seems they don't have a solution for it either...left back at square 1!

Pcb fault. C17 cap faulty on pcb read the sticky on how to replace it.

Hotpoint are owned by Indesit and have been for a few years along with Creda, Ariston + others.
