I've got a texecom prem 24 v8.25 all working fine

but i've tried to add a com2400 and it can't get it to work,
connected it to the 10pin header, not got the cable connected (com2400 manual said it wasn't needed) set it to com1 as stated in com2400 manual
wired to phone line via an adsl v1.0 filtered faceplate on the 2 & 5 connectors,
enabled it on the RKP but when i make a test call it disconnects the other phones so it can see the line, but i get no text
if i pick up a phone connected directly into the faceplate when it is ment to be working it's just dialtone

anyone got any ideas??

is it alligned correctly?
Did you downpower everything when you doid connect?

yes it's all sitting square on the pins etc, it was powered down, battery off, all phone connections done with faceplate off master

I still had to connect the cable to the COM1 or COM2 header on the main PCB for mine to work despite it saying it wasn't required.

#Just looked , where does it say "do not use header lead"?

Connect it, see what happens.
I think it may grab the line fron the 8/10 pin connectors telling it but it still needs the trigger inputs from the lead.

I think it was included with the Com2400 on a separate bit of paper for versions built after a certain date.

I'm sure I had to connect a lead from the com1 socket on the main PCB to the Com2400 to get it to work on my panel.

Have you got your phone number programmed in?

Have you got a number programmed in for the SMS centre? Mine is set to primary : 07860980480
secondary : 07785499993

Have you told com1 that you've fitted the digi to it?

Have you set ARC 1 protocol to SMS messaging?

Don't forget to select the option "reset digi" after you've made alterations to the digi, before attempting a test call.

Just a few things to try.

will try those things at the weekend, should be so simple to set up but i just can't get it working, done loads of sd2/3's in work no probs

SD`s are a bit different.
Thats like saying a Galaxy Dimension is just an alarm panel.
