Scraper and heat gun is usually successful but sometimes a chemical stripper is required for really stubborn stuff (can be messy though). |

Yes I agree, though a hot air gun will tend to leave a great deal of residue behind. This could then be removed with Nitromors and if you have one to hand a pressure washer, whatever method you choose it will be a pig of a job.
