Hotpoint FDW60 dishwasher

When i select a programme on my dishwasher I can her water going into it, immediatley it drains and Eco & prewash lights flash. Have checked the filter and its not blocked....any ideas folks??

The first thing you should hear is water pumping out.
Do you?, if not sure put some water in & listen.

When you press start, you will hear within a few seconds the pump start.
After the pump runs maybe 5/10 seconds, THEN the water enters, not before.

At the back of the circulation pump is a coil spring. In the middle of that is a slot turn it with a flat screwdriver if it turns freely it's not jammed. That means that the pump or cap next to it has gone. If it's jammed you might free it by turning it. Access is under the base of the dishwasher tip it upside down.
