My combi boiler is working fine fine for central heating but has stopped producing hot water, although it has worked a couple of times then failed again immediately after turning off the tap and re trying. I used the diagnosis flow chart in the manual the standby power light is on but no demand light the water flow seems fine and the chart suggests replacing the flow switch but does not mention this switch in the spare parts or in the diagrams is it the micro switch assembly and how much to replace it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Forget the flowswitch.

Have a look at the diverter valve on the left hand side. On the front is a pin that moves out when a hot tap is opened. Probably find this pin does not move out sufficient to operate the microswitches. If so you need a new diaphragm. Will also need the slip coupling O ring. Easy diy job. Parts about a tenner.

Thanks for the info Gasguru, is a generic diaphragm available / advised or the Worcester part?

A generic diaphragm is available but its best to at least get one made by the diverter valve maker, Gianonni.

The sliding joint is a Worcester part.

Some engineers manage to repair them with a new "O" ring. I prefer the new part.

We charge £106 in our local area excluding the sliding joint for which we charge an extra £18.

You do not need the hole brass piece you only need the oring!! better still hold the brass with your grips so it does not spin. if your concerned lsx ;)

Thanks to everyone for their help, Ive bought the parts and should be sorted by tonight!!

Completed the diaphragm replacement and the demand light is now lighting to show it is working BUT the pilot light now refuses to stay lit the system has been recharged but can hear a gurgling sound from boiler when hot water taps opened is this trapped air and is it a likely cause for non lighting pilot? Help greatly appreciated in need of a shower soon!!
